We like to think of ourselves as being in control of our identities. But the simple fact is that there are so many things going into “I” that oftentimes we can’t control for them. Sometimes we barely know how much they are affecting us, if at all.

Take parenting. Your parents and the home environment are all you know during your most vulnerable and impressionable stages in life. When you’re a baby sucking on your thumb to when you’re a teenager getting caught cheating on a test, your parents are there reacting– in a certain way– to everything you do.

It can’t matter that much, right? It was so long ago… right?

Wrong.

The way you were raised as a child can have an impact on the rest of your life. It changes your view of the world and most importantly, how you go about solving everyday life problems.

Psychologists have been able to identify 4 major types of parenting styles. After learning about them, I’ve found it becomes painfully obvious when someone fits a certain mold. But it’s interesting. Very interesting. Take a look for yourself. And if you’re brave enough, take a look at yourself.

1. Authoritative Parenting

Parent’s Motto: “The world is constantly changing and one day I won’t be there to tell you what to do– so you need to figure it out for yourself.”

Child’s Motto: “I did my best and had the right intentions, I have no regrets.”

I suppose I should go about this the politically correct way and say, “No, there is no one right way to parent your kids.” … But that wouldn’t be very honest now would it?

Of the 4 parenting styles, authoritative parenting is the best and results in the most emotionally stable children. Children who have been raised with authoritative parents learn to think for themselves and how to make the best decisions based on morality and sound judgement.

What makes authoritative parents different from the others? They’ve found balance.

Authoritative parents have rules and regulations, and they expect their kids to follow them. BUT at the same time they also listen to their children. Authoritative parents are the ones who would say the punishment should fit the crime. If the kid was put in detention for laughing in class, for example, the parents would punish him way less than if he was put in detention for getting into a fight. Likewise, if the kid had an excuse for getting into a fight, like the other boy was threatening a friend, then the parents would listen to him, see his point of view, and lessen the punishment accordingly.

By listening to their children, authoritative parents end up teaching them judgement. Authoritative parents earn their children’s respect and teach them how to best deal with problems and handle different situations.

2. Authoritarian Parenting

Parent’s Motto: “Because I said so.”

Child’s Motto: “My goal in life is to be happy.”

Like authoriTATIVE parents, authoriTARIAN (they’re really similar-sounding) parents have rules and regulations that children must follow. Unlike authoritative parents, however, authoritarian parents could give a rat’s ass about their child’s opinion or what they have to say. Rules are rules for a reason, and they’re going to be followed no matter what.

You’ll see these parents every so often and say, “Wow, I feel bad for that kid,” as they blow their heads off screaming about small things like spilled candy on the floor. It’s not hard to imagine how all the punishments can affect them later on. Children need to be taught how to react to situations and deal with problems. When authoritarian parents punish their kids, they don’t explain to the kid why what they did was wrong, so they never earn their respect or learn how to regulate themselves without the parent’s help.

Authoritarian parenting will either produce children that are overly obedient and proficient, or on the flip end, children that refuse to acknowledge authority and maybe even become delinquent. In the second case, parents make their children the opposite of what they intend: In wanting their children to succeed, they push them too hard and impose too many limitations on them, making the children less likely to succeed. Oh, the splendid splendid irony.

Either way, authoritarian parenting has been shown to produce children less happy and with lower self esteem than their peers.

3. Permissive Parenting

Parent’s Motto: “Treat your children as your friends.”

Child’s Motto:“Authority? What’s that?”

She was a bad egg.

The permissive parent thinks that their child is wonderful and deserves to be treated with all the love and respect in the world. They have very few rules and any rules that they DO have are not enforced properly. They treat their children as their friends and will cater to them unconditionally.

What you come out with is a child that has no discipline, no sense of right and wrong, and spoiled as all hell. When these children grow up, they’re never taught what is right and what is wrong, so they keep their “I deserve everything I want attitude” as they mature. They have simply never had to regulate themselves before, and although children can grow up and learn these things on their own, it’s not very likely.

One study found that children with permissive parents were more than three times as likely to experience drinking problems when they got to college (authoritarian parenting- 2x as likely, authoritative parenting- least likely). These children are less likely to do well academically, and they may also become reserved due to not knowing how to act around others.

4. Dismissive Parenting

Parent’s Motto: “…”

Child’s Motto: “I don’t understand what’s happening…”

Dismissive parents are much more rare than the other three types of parents. They are also by far the most harmful. Often, these parents act this way as a result of some sort of outlying problem, whether it be a death in the family, substance abuse, or a mental health problem.

Dismissive parents are completely unresponsive to their children. They show no warmth, no guidance, and are usually preoccupied or absorbed in their own troubles, leaving the child to fend for himself emotionally. The parent usually provides the child with basic necessities, like food, clothing, etc, but besides that there’s not much else there.

The results on the children are heart breaking. The child either grows up too quickly, needing to take care of himself since the parent isn’t present, or not at all, remaining immature and helpless. They often have behavioral issues in school, do worse academically, and remain socially and emotionally isolated.

When they grow up, they are more likely to have severe behavioral and mental problems. Their want of personal relationships makes them easily manipulated by others.

Carrying on the Tradition

So… what kind of parent will you be? Studies show that people tend to carry on the same type of parental style as they were raised with themselves. Children raised with the authoritarian parenting style will raise their own children with an authoritarian style, and so on.

…Does it have to be this way?

No. Knowledge is power. The first step to changing how you treat your children in the future is to understand the different types of parenting. And if you’re unhappy with how you were treated as a child, try to understand what an authoritative parent would say in the same situation, and change yourself accordingly.

It’s all up to you.

If you have ever experienced the death of a loved one, then you understand the feeling of grief that falls over you when it happens. The moment when you first hear, and your brain takes a minute– or 20– or a month– or a year– to fully comprehend it. The moment when you realize that that person is gone forever.

We aren’t the only ones: animals feel grief too. This notion will come as no surprise to pet owners and wildlife lovers out there, but many animals will fall silent to mourn or remember the life of one of their own. Animals that have funerals take it one step further and seem to make “rituals” out of their grieving. Call it anthropomorphism if you want, but either way, watching these animals mourn hits close to home.

3. Chimpanzees

Chimpanzees are some of our closest related relatives, so it might not come as a shock that they have similar emotions to our own. But to what extent?

Take the case of Dorothy, an elderly chimp of 30 years who died at the Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Centre in eastern Cameroon. Workers at the center knew Dorothy was a “prominent figure” in her family of 25 chimps, but they were not prepared for what happened as they took Dorothy to her final resting place.

The family of chimps lined up along the perimeter of the enclosure, watching in quiet contemplation as Dorothy was wheeled past them and buried. They placed their hands on one another’s shoulders, perhaps mourning, perhaps comforting one another, and watched in complete silence, a rare occurrence for these usually loud and boisterous animals.

Monica Szczupider, who took the photo, had this to say: “This is a funeral shot. We were burying Dorothy. We brought her in the wheelbarrow to let the others see.

“It was unbelievably emotional. We were all struck. Even the employees, all of whom grew up as villagers potentially eating apes, before they were a delicacy, were emotional.

“I think every last one of us was silenced by their silence.”

Video is here, but be sure to have some tissues on hand: Chimpanzee Funeral: Warning- May Cause Tears

2. Elephants

If you really knew how smart, sensitive, and creative these animals are you’d be amazed. Honestly, elephants do it all. They live in societies with their own cultures, self-medicate with plants, protect people and other animals in trouble, and PAINT. Paint! Really? …Anyone else a little disheartened that their artistic talent will never match up to an elephant’s?

Elephants have such intense social groups that they become extremely upset when one of their own dies. Of all animal grieving and funeral rituals, there is none as well documented or well known as the elephant’s.

Upon seeing the bones or carcass of another elephant, a family will stop and investigate them, even if the elephant was unrelated to the group. The ritual includes touching the bones gently with their trunks while remaining very quiet, covering the body with leaves and grass, and if the elephant belonged to their own, staying with the body for days or weeks at a time.

Elephant researcher Martin Meredith had this story to tell: ”The entire family of a dead matriarch, including her young calf, were all gently touching her body with their trunks, trying to lift her. The elephant herd were all rumbling loudly. The calf was observed to be weeping and made sounds that sounded like a scream, but then the entire herd fell incredibly silent. They then began to throw leaves and dirt over the body and broke off tree branches to cover her. They spent the next two days quietly standing over her body. They sometimes had to leave to get water or food, but they would always return.”

Elephants are such compassionate animals that they’ll even grieve for and bury their number one killers… us. A news report in Kenya told of an elephant that trampled a human mother and her child and then stopped to bury them before disappearing in the bush.

Fact is, it’s pretty obvious to see that elephants mourn for their dead and would be at least somewhat emotionally compromised when we go around slaughtering entire herds… Take out your “save the elephant” banners.

1. Magpies

These little birds aren’t exactly what we picture in our heads when we think of intelligence, but they’re thought to be some of the most intelligent of all animals, even recognizing themselves in the mirror test (and the only non-mammal to do so).

But their intelligence goes much farther than just self-awareness. Magpies, like other birds such as ravens and chickens, are surprisingly empathetic to others of their kind. Once in a while they’ll be seen engaging in elaborate social rituals that drive scientists and researchers crazy with interest.

Dr. Bekoff of the University of Colorado has studied these rituals and concluded that magpies both “feel grief and hold funerals.” He studied four magpies that took interest in a magpie corpse and recorded their behavior.

“One approached the corpse, gently pecked at it, just as an elephant would nose the carcass of another elephant, and stepped back. Another magpie did the same thing,” he read.

“Next, one of the magpies flew off, brought back some grass and laid it by the corpse. Another magpie did the same. Then all four stood vigil for a few seconds and one by one flew off.”

“We can’t know what they were actually thinking or feeling, but reading their action there’s no reason not to believe these birds were saying a magpie farewell to their friend,” he wrote in the journal Emotion, Space and Society.

Not bad for a bunch of squawking pests in your backyard, hm?

I’ve always been interested in why people do what they do. Lets face it, we feel certain ways and do certain things and often have no idea why. We just react to our instincts. But what’s going on behind the scenes?

For example. Have you ever walked past a woman who you’ve known for a long time, seen often, and never noticed her as particularly attractive, but all of a sudden this one time you see her and think, “Wow, she’s so attractive, I don’t know why I didn’t notice before”? It’s not like she looks particularly different… but something just draws you to her.

It might have something to do with ovulation.

What is Ovulation?

Ovulation is when an egg is first released from a woman’s ovary. It is at this time that she is most likely to get pregnant. If she has a regular 4 week menstrual cycle, ovulation occurs the two weeks after her period starts and ahem– men ignore this next sentence, when her discharge starts to look like egg whites (ladies, you should keep track of when you ovulate. It could seriously save you many a baby scare).

6 Ways Ovulation Affects the Female Sex Drive Every Month

It’s a general consensus in today’s scientific literature that women are more attractive during ovulation. When women are ovulating, they feel infinitely more sexual and more attractive to men. Don’t believe me? Studies show:

6. Women will dress more provocatively (show more skin) when they are ovulating and buy sexier products when given a choice.

5. Their voices become higher, which is associated with femininity and attractiveness.

4. They sway their hips more when walking, have an interest in “manly,” “confident” men, and are more interested in social gatherings.

3. In a diary study on couples, periods of ovulation were the only times in a month when wives asked for more sex than their husbands.

2. Women are more likely to cheat on their significant other when they are ovulating.

1. Get this: The effects of ovulation are so strong on attraction that strippers have learned to use it to earn bigger tips. No matter how attractive the stripper is or how much she usually makes at her job, her earnings rise about 50% more when she is ovulating. If a woman is on birth control, she does not ovulate and does not get this bonus tips– many strippers for this reason alone stay off the pill.

And Men?

2. Men smelling the sweat of ovulating women see a dramatic rise in testosterone compared to men that smell the sweat of non-ovulating women (read: you’re more likely to ask her out, seal the deal, etc etc).

1. Men are more jealous and possessive of their girls when they are ovulating, although they are also more attentive and giving to their wants and needs.

Why Does This Happen, and How Can I Not Notice It?

Ovulation has a profound effect on our lives and we are not even aware of it. All of these actions are completely unconscious. It’s not like women go around saying, “Oh, ovulating time I better go cheat on my husband!” No. These effects are all by-products of that thing your biology professor talked about once. Evolution.

For our ancestors, it would be an incredibly useful adaptation to know when women are most fertile to have children. Without passing on our genes, we get nowhere in the evolution game. Men can somehow “sense” this and become more protective of their women at this time– they act as if she was going to cheat on him any second. Women, on the other hand, want to appear most attractive at this time so they can be sure to use their chance of having a child.

Going along with this evolution theory… If our female ancestors are more likely to cheat on their husbands during ovulation, then our unconscious goal would be to have another man– besides our husband’s– child… Think about that. Are we biologically programmed to cheat? (I can do another post on the biology of cheating if anyone is interested).

How Can I Take Advantage of This?

First of all, ALL women should know when they ovulate. You can use this information to your advantage. Don’t go on a shopping splurge those days because you’ll come back broke, and skip Victoria’s Secret all together. Try taking your facebook pictures during ovulation. See if it gets you any extra attention.

Men, refrain from spending all your money on your gal while she’s in between cycles. And be ready for a lot, and we mean a lot, of sex.

Yeah, right. If it was that easy, no one would ever leave their computers.

Any site promising you riches or lots of money for doing jobs online is most definitely a scam. To find an honest site, you can’t ask for much money because lets face it– you aren’t doing that much.

Like this, minus the hand.

Throughout my internet career I’ve managed to find a couple sites that, although don’t pay that much, are in fact easy ways to make extra money online. If you are bored watching t.v. and have nothing to do, you might as well complete a survey or two and make extra cash.

But how can I be so sure that these sites are legit? Simple– I have received checks from them.

1. MySurvey.com (MySurvey.com)

I’ve made easily over $100 on this site over the years. It’s exactly what a survey site should be. Surveys are sent to you every so often and you are notified by email. Depending on the length they will give you a certain amount of credits, which can be traded in for cash. Surveys range from .10 cents to $7 dollars.

2. Toluna.com (Toluna.com)

Toluna is one of the more popular survey/poll sites on the net today. You can make your own polls and receive opinions from people all over the world, in addition to getting points for sponsored polls and surveys which can be traded in for cash. If you’re ever bored or just need something to do for a while, you really can’t go wrong with this site.

3. FanSlave.com (FanSlave.com)

FanSlave uses a totally new way of making money online. You make money (credits) by liking pages on Facebook. How does this work? The internet runs on traffic. People can pay FanSlave for likes on Facebook, thereby increasing the traffic on that page. When YOU like a page on Facebook, you will earn credits, which you can either exchange for cash or traffic on a page of your choosing.

4. Xulu Universe (Xulu Universe)

Xulu Universe is a new type of computer game in testing, one that aims at pushing the boundaries of 3D holographic worlds. Right now they’re close to lift off, but still testing their servers and settings to get tester’s suggestions/ideas. Every Wednesday they have an in-game test, and staying in-game for an hour will earn you $10. Not such a good hourly wage, but then again… you’re playing a computer game, can’t really complain.

I’ve come to appreciate small deals like this a lot. I can usually pay for monthly groceries or toiletries with sites like these.

If I find more, I’ll post them here and keep this page updated frequently.

And if you guys have any more PROVEN legit sites, I’d love to hear from you

First Things First:
Meditation is easy, fun, and helpful, but it is not instant. It takes time to learn and time to perfect. So many people will say after trying once, “Oh I’ve tried meditating, but it doesn’t work, at least not for me,” or plainly “I can’t do it.” And I want so badly to answer, “I know what you mean. I tried riding a bike once and FELL, can you believe that?!” Meditation takes time, like working out to train your muscles or learning an instrument. That’s why it is SO important to have the resolve to learn and to practice every day– even just for 5-10 minutes (there are 1440 minutes in a day. Using 5 of them to meditate won’t kill you). Most importantly, don’t expect instant results. You won’t get them.

What you need is a calm, quiet place to sit with no distractions. Somewhere out in nature, or even a quiet room will work. Sit upright in a comfortable position (don’t lay down as you might lose concentration).

How to start: Breathe deep from within your stomach, and relax. Realize that you are in a quiet space and will not be bothered. Let out all the tension in your body. Be aware of your body. Feel how your feet feel touching the floor, for example, or how your back feels against the wall. Pay attention to your breath (YES, that’s ALL you have to do, really.) Note: I said pay ATTENTION to your breath, don’t just sit there and breath. There’s a difference. Meditation is an active activity, not passive.

An article I read asked a Buddhist monk the best way to do this, who said to visualize your breath entering and leaving your body as you would if you were standing on a beach in the tide. Just as you would stand in one place, feeling waves pull back towards the water then push towards the sand, follow your breath, from a single point in your mouth, as it enters your nose, fills your stomach, then leaves again. You can also count your intake–outtake in a 4-8-16 pattern.

When you first start meditating, there is no way you’re going to be able to keep all attention on breathing. See, without training your mind is rather distracted, like a 4 year old kid at Disneyland. It keeps thinking about other things and jumping from subject to subject.

To meditate, whenever you have an extra thought, recognize it– say to yourself, “OH, I’m thinking about ___” enter subject here. If you are thinking about your boyfriend, school, how badly you messed up on that test, how happy you are today, anything, either positive or negative, recognize that you’re thinking about it. Acknowledge it– Don’t judge it, merely realize that you were thinking about it. Then let it go, and go back to paying attention to your breathing.

What will happen: After weeks, months, you will realize that your mind tends to stay fixed to the same thoughts, like a broken record. You will realize that thoughts are just thoughts. They do not control you– you control them. You will realize that peace comes from within as long as you look for it, and that yes– it has been there all along.

So get started. And if you’d like to share your meditation experiences, I’d love to hear what you’ve discovered.

Anyone that has owned a dog understands just how different dogs are from other pets. But what exactly makes them so special to us? Why do we say a dog is a man’s best friend?

Dogs Who Will Amaze You

A dog’s loyalty is legendary. In 1924 Hidesaburo Ueno, a Japanese professor, adopted Hachiko, an Akita. Every day when the professor returned home on the train Hachiko would go to meet him there. One day the professor suffered from a cerebral hemorrhage, never to return. Hachiko went to the same train station EVERY DAY for 9 years after his master’s death, waiting for him to come home. His story spread and he became a national icon of loyalty and devotion to the entire country.

Dogs can be trained to do just about anything. Read: Endal, the service Labrador who learned to operate an ATM machine, including the use of a pin #, slide card, and folding cash into a wallet. And if that’s not impressive enough, he was trained in first aid, the degree of which is astounding. When Endal’s master was hit by a car, Endal knew to put him in the recovery position, grab his cell phone from under the car, cover him with a blanket, and bark at nearby houses for help BEFORE running to a hotel to get someone.

Then there are the dogs that are just straight up heroes. Sallie was a bull Terrier that led Union soldiers into the bloodiest part of the Civil War, taking the occasional bullet like a champ and encouraging the troops. Her intensity in battle and dedication to helping wounded soldiers made her an wartime hero, to the point where even Lincoln was known to salute her.

Why Are They So Special To Us?

Fact is, humans and dogs have an unmistakable bond. They’ve co-evolved together, much in the same way that clown fish and anemones have evolved together. Our species are so intertwined that pretty much all cultures have evidence of dogs. They are as common as culture, or religion. In fact, you’ve heard how yawning is highly contagious from person to person? Well it turns out it’s even more contagious to dogs. Dogs are more likely to yawn after their owner than other humans.

Researchers made another interesting test of dog cognition. Put 3 bowls on the ground and hide a treat under one of them. To solve the problem, dogs will follow a human’s gaze, or follow a point and figure out which bowl it is. Wolves don’t follow gazes or points. Not even chimps. Dogs have this
innate trait to look to humans for answers and listen to human actions. In all of history, all of our years of domestication, no other animal can understand human emotion or behavior like the dog.

Not interesting enough for you? Think of it this way: Many scientists and historians believe that without dogs, humans would never have progressed past the nomadic stage of evolution. How? (besides the fact that they hunted for us, leaving us with time to other things). Well when we were nomadic, we needed watchmen to keep us safe. safe. Dogs did that for us. For the first time in history dogs gave us nocturnal activity. And studies show people fall asleep easier, and have deeper sleep when dogs are in the house.

i.e., We’ve evolved with dogs to the point where we physiologically sleep better when they’re around, because we know we’re protected.

So next time you take poochie for a walk or two, go ahead and give her that extra treat. She deserves it.

So today I’m going to talk about meditation.

Together with me now-- Ohhmmmmmmm

Back in the day I remember thinking that meditation was only for the hippies, the radical environmentalists, the people that were too unlike myself for meditation to have ANY real benefit whatsoever.

Well shows how much I know (read: nothing). A couple years later and I will eagerly tell you how I believe meditation is the single greatest thing you can do for yourself, and probably the answer to most of the world’s problems today.

As Marty McFly would say– “…That’s pretty heavy, Doc.”

So why such a radical shift? There are PLENTY of people that still think that meditation is only for hippies and Buddhists and that’s probably why so many are hesitant to try. So please, let me explain myself.

These are what I personally feel are the most important benefits of meditation.

People that meditate actually have an increase in brain matter density. Yes, you read that right. Zen masters that have been meditating for years PHYSICALLY (this is an honorary up-yours to all the skeptics out there) have bigger brains than the rest of the population. The left side of their brains (positive thinking) were almost twice the size of their right sides (negative thinking). Know what this means? More room in that hole in your head for logical thinking. Reasoning. Emotional awareness. All that good stuff that your mother yells at you for not having.

Not only do you have MORE of a brain, but your brain will just work better, period. There was one seminar where this meditation expert was talking about everyday life– I’ll never forget it. He said that the brain, just like anything else we have– hands, legs, arms– is a tool that we can learn to use for better or for worse. You use your brain everyday but have not trained it, like an athlete that refuses to work out his muscles. And in so, you are not at your full potential.

Now I know meditation can been used for a LOT of different things– relaxation, increasing the immune system, lowering blood pressure, etc– but I honestly believe that for anxiety, meditation may be the key– the solution– that many, many people are looking for. Why? Meditation changes your patterns of thoughts. The one thing it is *meant* to do is change your pattern of thoughts. That’s why it’s been used experimentally for people with generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and given positive results that many other medications haven’t been able to (without getting you addicted to benzos and crashing, I mean). And really, if someone says they live in a world without anxiety, then guess what? They’re LYING.

I guess the most important thing about meditation, though, is that it just… it just makes you so much more comfortable with life, and so much more comfortable with yourself. Skeptics will probably throw this out of the water. But really, from personal experience, after meditating more and more I find myself getting angry less often, getting sad less often, becoming more creative, becoming more outgoing, having more self-esteem, and just doing better overall in every aspect of life. I know so much more about myself than when I started meditating, and I know so much more about other people now too. And really, isn’t that what life is all about?

What I’m trying to say is…

There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t start meditating. It can only change your life for the better– how many things can you say that about in this world? It takes no money, a bit of effort, and 10 minutes a day. Yes, all these benefits and only 10 minutes a day.

Some other time I’ll post a “how” of meditation, and that’s really where stuff gets interesting.

What could the Matrix and a baboon’s butt possibly have in common?

…Besides the fact that you can watch both on t.v., obviously.

If you haven’t gotten it by now, then here it is… Both have the color red.

Both the woman and the baboon use this particular color for the same purpose– To find mates. And for good reason. Research shows men and women are more attractive when they are wearing red. It’s an unconscious association, but there nonetheless.

The first time I ever heard of this phenomena was at the University working with zebra finches.

I was told that the red spots on a zebra finch’s cheeks and the red beak determine attractiveness in the breed. Experiments were simple- Increase the red areas with a red marker and females became enamored by males. Decrease the red with white or gray markers and the same males were ignored.

When working with these little guys in a lab, researchers mainly use colored leg bands to identify individuals. Strangely, experiments started going haywire and people had no idea why.

Turns out the red leg bands themselves were messing up the experiments. The birds were paying more attention to the red color attached to the birds than the purpose of the experiments themselves.

Strangely enough, people react the exact same way, just like the finches and baboons (yes, you are at heart just an animal). Unconsciously, we relate red to the sexiness and attractiveness of women and men. Something picked up as we evolved.

There are a lot of experiments demonstrating the power of red in human attractiveness, but for time’s sake I’ll just mention the more well-known ones. Men and woman are shown pictures of the opposite sex in different colored T-shirts– not just white, but green, blue, so on and so forth. They are then asked questions about the people in the photos, including their status, how attractive they are, and how interested they would be in sex.

Women’s Attraction to the Color Red- Men Were Rated As

Being more alpha male

Having more social status (i.e., cultures using red clothing to denote status and rank)

More sexually desirable

Interestingly, women did not rate men in red as being any more likable, kind, or social. Huh. Guess red is restricted to sex only folks, sorry to burst your bubbles.

Men’s Attraction to the Color Red- Women Were Seen As:

More interested in sex

More sexually desirable

More likely to say yes to their invitations to a date or dinner

All of this is regardless of the type of clothing (a red shirt will do, does not have to be a dress/revealing outfit)

Pretty interesting, isn’t it? Next time you go to the club or that special date, maybe you should take that long lost red from your closet. It might have some expectations you wouldn’t– well, would now that you’ve read this– expect.
